The Nitty Gritty

  My fees are £45 per session. 

(I offer a sliding scale for fees dependent on your personal circumstances. I review my fees annually.) 

My client sessions are currently on a Monday between 08:00-20:00. (Updated October 2024). 

Your fee can be paid by BAC's transfer to Gem Counselling Space Business Account. Or you can pay cash on the day. (Please note I do not carry cash, therefore it would need to be the exact cash payment.)

• I will ensure that I attend all our sessions at the time and date specified and will keep within the time boundaries we have set. 
• We will review our sessions over time, to ensure you are getting everything you need from our time together. 
• I will provide a confidential, secure space for our work together. 
• I will be available to allow sessions to happen consistently on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. 

 Our sessions will be 50 minutes in length (please allow 60 minutes). The session frequency and number will be discussed in our introduction session and reviewed throughout our time together.

 I offer sessions that are face to face, walking outdoors, online and over the phone. I will send a separate communication with the specific information for the method you have chosen.

You may stop your sessions at any time, but I ask for you to allow a period of time for the ending of our sessions. The ending of a relationship can be problematic and so a planned ending gives time for the exploration of this. In general, the longer that we have been meeting, the longer the ending needs to be.

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Staffordshire University.

I am passionate about personal development and in turn this develops my practice. 

I have completed an Introduction to the Person-Centred Approach to death and dying with Live Well Die Well and Crossfields Institute.

I have completed the a Foundation Course and for Conscious Breathwork with First-Breath under the tutelage of Nathalia Westmacot.

I started the Three Year Practitioner Breathwork Training Program with First-Breath under the tutelage of Nathalia Westmacott in March 2023. 

 I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP- Membership Number 393752). The BACP are a membership body for counselling professionals, and I ensure I uphold their ethical framework. If you are running late for our session, please try to email/text/call me if it is safe and legal to do so.

If you do not attend a session at our arranged time, I will wait 10 minutes before calling you and wherever possible leave a message. I will wait another 5 minutes before trying to call you again. I will wait, in our agreed place, until we have 30 minutes left of our session and if you do not arrive, I will send you an email and close the session. Sessions under 30 minutes are not beneficial therapeutically, so anything under this time we would need to rearrange. 

I understand that things can get in the way, which means our sessions cannot always go ahead as planned. If you need to cancel or change one of our sessions, please give at least 48 hours’ notice. 

There is a 50% cancellation fee with less than 48 hours’ notice. 

If you do not attend without informing me a full session fee will be payable.
